Traveling in Style

There’s something very exciting about traveling regardless of what your destination may be. Choosing the right clothes to wear and knowing what items to pack for your trip will make your travel experience even more fun.

Mind you, this is not only about being fashion centric but just in case you get hit with a ridiculous $100 bag-check fee or your flights is unexpectedly delayed and you got to wait an extra few hours at the airport, you will at least be able to handle anything that comes your way with these few quick and easy tips for traveling in comfort and style.

Packing clothing for a big trip may seem overwhelming at first; however packing smart can ease a lot of unnecessary stress. When traveling, especially to another country, it’s best to pack a few lightweight clothing items that fit in any kind of adventure—from city touring to wilderness exploring. The key to packing smart is to find a couple of pieces of clothing that you can wear virtually anywhere and basically can take you from day to night.

It is important you go with fabrics that are mostly breathable, soft and are easy to wear.

Pants are the second most important thing to consider when traveling. Choose bottoms that are made with soft fabrics and are easy to care for.

Joggers that are made with a blend of modal/cotton French terry are a good example. This type of fabric feels super soft to the touch and lets you move with ease.

Jeans that have some spandex in them and leggings are also excellent options.

Also, luggage space is very precious so you need to pack colors that are easy to mix and match —grey, black and navy—especially for shorts, pants and skirts. These unique colors coordinate perfectly well with everything, so you can pack less.

Moisturizing and simple Makeup

Skipping heavy foundations and choosing a tinted moisturizer instead, will make things easier while travelling. A tinted moisturizer will not only help keep your skin from drying out, but it can also be easily touched up before you reach your final destination. A touch of mascara, cream blush and tinted lip balm will also make your look fresh.

Go for flat shoes

You never know when you’ll have to run to catch a connecting flight, so shoes should be flat or at last keep your heels low.

Just because you’re sticking with flat shoes doesn’t mean your going to look unfashionable, the trick is to pair the shoes with stylish and yet confortable joggers or leggings.

Choose Uncomplicated Jewelry

Chances are you will need to take off most of your accessories before going through the metal detector, so you need to avoid anything that takes more than a few seconds to remove or that would be easy to drop and lose, including necklaces with difficult clasps or chunky belts. Stacked bracelets and long necklaces that can be easily removed over your head would likely not create a hold-up in the security line but will still make you look exceedingly perfect.

Black Cardigan/ Blazer

When traveling with a business agenda or smarter schedule, a black blazer is a must-wear. The short haul essential can raise the sartorial bar and saves the jacket from the perils of a suitcase. The extra layer is good for the chill of the aircraft cabin and the pockets come in incredibly handy for storing wallets, passports, tickets, phones etc

And there you have it – fun, easy and stylish ways to make your travels an absolute bliss.
